The M25 trade-park corridor runs from Romford through Brentwood and Basildon; the Thames-side logistics belt from Tilbury through Thurrock to Grays handles a meaningful share of the country's port-feed warehousing; and the A12 spine carries trade parks and light industry all the way from Brentwood through Chelmsford and Witham to Colchester and out to the coast at Clacton.
What that means for us is that on any given week our vans are on roofs across the county — over-cladding a single-skin warehouse in Romford on Monday, re-sheeting gutters on a Basildon trade park on Tuesday, surveying an asbestos-roofed unit in Chelmsford on Wednesday, and re-roofing an agricultural building near Maldon by the weekend. The Dartford crossing puts most of Essex within an hour of our Kent base, and we've been working the county for so long that there's a generation of facilities managers and asset managers who use us instinctively.
The Essex commercial-property stock skews heavily toward the 1970s/80s industrial unit — single-skin or twin-skin profiled metal, often with asbestos rooflights and ageing cement-fibre details.
